RESISTANCE OF COLORS
Our products are made with great care even as regards the coloration of the tapes, but because of different treatments that items can subjected to, we invite the Customer to check from time to time if the resistance of the product corresponds to the specific use.
ZIPPERS WITH COTTON TAPES
For zippers which will undergo bleaching or discoloration is preferable don’t use zippers with “aged” colors or silver ones because these surfaces finishes can react with the hydrogen peroxide of the washing and in this reaction could severely damage the cotton tape. In any case it would be preferable to not use hydrogen peroxide or use a percentage less than 3-4%.
If it is essential to a subsequent process of bleaching, for zippers to be applied on garments for optical white dyeing is preferable to use polyester tape white. If you have not to bleach the garments, then you can use white cotton tape zippers.
In general, if possible please use sequestering agents for metal products and do not leave wet clothes piled.
Since the zippers are applied on items subject to both mechanical and chemical treatments we are not able to give a guarantee universally valid. Therefore, while providing quality products, we invite you to perform adequate testing before production whenever any changement is made to the production process.
